Newcastle is the largest city in McClain County and the fastest-growing place we serve by a wide margin — up over 38% in five years, driven by proximity to Oklahoma City and expansion along the I-44 corridor. The commercial base is anchored by Newcastle Casino, a 112,000-square-foot Chickasaw Nation property on North Main Street between US-62 and I-44, with retail concentrating along NW 32nd Street. A casino lot is a genuinely different maintenance problem from a retail lot: traffic runs around the clock, there is no overnight window to work in, and the surface takes constant low-speed turning movement rather than park-and-leave use.

Why Oklahoma is hard on asphalt
NOAA's 1991–2020 climate normals for Oklahoma City record 71 days a year at or below freezing, of which only about eight stay below freezing all day. That leaves roughly sixty days when pavement crosses the freeze line in both directions — and it does that against average July highs of 94°F and about 36.5 inches of rain a year. Water gets into a crack, freezes, expands, and levers it wider. Then the summer bakes the binder out of whatever the winter opened up. That cycle is why sealcoat and crack sealing are maintenance here, not cosmetics.
